Message From The Breeder

Senceir Apologies, there are no available pictures of the puppy house or the kennels at the moment. They are undergoing repairs and reinevations due to a storm that passed threw recently. It knocked down some trees which took out the kennel walls and caused a good bit of damage to the puppy house. But I'm getting them back online as quickly as possible. So no worries , they should all be up and running well before the next litters arrive. If I would have known this was going to happen i would have taken some pictures before hand. Again my deepest apologies I .will be sure to post updates on there development as soon as there available. Thank you for your understanding and patience

At Meyers Dobermans their all "Part Of The Family"

All of the in Meyers Dobermans are " home bred". " As Ms Meyers 2calls them." All my dogs sleep in our bed and sleep in the kids beds. There not even our pets, there part of the family. I'm momma, my daughter is there sissy and I'm pretty sure they don't realize there even dogs, they get Christmas stockings and birthday cakes for Christ sakes!" states Meyers.

Dobbie Puppy House

There is a 10x20 structure on the property that started as a pop up carport. It sits between  kennel #A and Kennel #B  approximately 40 ft from the main house " The first addition was the sheet metal walls , at the time it was just a storage area and a place I could work in piece away from household distractions and it kind of just grew from there" Ms. Meyers explains     Today it is known as " the puppy house ". A 10x20 structure equipped with 2 5x5 whelping areas, a kitchenette , running hot and cold water, electricity, heating units and window air conditioning, restroom where puppies have there own washroom and bath that doubles as a shower stall for mom. Each whelping area has a raised dog exit so moms can come and go as they wish without puppies following. Each exit leads out into there own personal dog run/ break area. . The dog runs surface areas are half grass for comfort and half gravel that serves as a flushable potty. This way mom can stretch out and enjoy some alone time or just go for a quick potty break to return to her babies.     The puppy house is also used for  checkups, vaccinations, microchipping and lab testing. Given Ms. Meyers's training and education she performed most procedures herself. With the exception of tail docking, dew claws and ear cropping the pups have all there medical needs attended in there own home. Ms Meyers attends to there Vaccinations, worming, physical exams, Microchip implantation and pretty much any other standard work ups her pups require.      ," Obviously we make regular trips to the vet for checkups, tail docking , rabies vaccine etc, but I try and stay on top of there most basic and routine needs myself.  It's not only convenient for the pups but for there new owners as well. Having less hands involved allows me to be more accurate with there medical records "     When asked how she fairs tending to so many pups at once she responds " As far as being socialized with people and what not the pups are exposed plenty. Between my kids, and my family and friends there's never a dull moment around here. So I'm not actually alonethis, not completely. Health wise, My pups have all there tails docked, dew claws removed, clean bill of health from the vet, microchipped awaiting new owners registration , there all registered with the AKC , well integrated, socialized, beagun training , up to date on vaccines and parasite free when they leave my care.I think I do a fairly good job, all things considered . Not to mention there slightly spoiled, my daughter calls them diva's. Lol. But I refuse to apologize for that, I have no regrets." She laughs" I would keep each and every one if I could, I love them all just as much as I love there parents. But unfortunately that's a grocery bill I CANT afford. "   Just as a testament to her devotion, every single attribute to her property Ms. Meyers did herself. Everything from the buildings, the kennels, the dog runs, the dog houses...all of it. It was all built by her.   She is one amazing woman and a very dedicated breeder.    I think it's safe to say Ms Meyers is truly devoted to her dobbies , just as much as they are to her.

There are 2 outdoor kennels located on there residential property that Ms Meyers uses as "holding areas" . There not living quarters but rather as a means to separate the dogs during the females heat cycles in order to avoid unwanted litters. They also serve as training areas as well. "I Find there good for sensory deprivation, less distraction, dobbies are highly energetic  and intelligent so they need lots of open space and brain stimulation especially during training,  so the kennels work perfectly " Ms. Meyers explains

The first kennel labeled kennel #A ,is located not but 20 ft from the main house, measuring 30 x 15 ft. Its enclosed on the back half with a solid metal barrier , for sensory deprivation and the front end is secured with a black bared welded fence.

The second kennel, Kennel #B is located 20 ft from kennel #A and is  approximately 40x30 ft. It sits on the corner lot of the property, with 3 sides enclosed with metal walls and  chain link fencing leaving the final side open for a double gated area that opens up to there fenced in yard.

Both kennels are equipped with lockable butterfly latch locks for containment and security. Each kennel is furnished with a raisee drainage deck attached to a custome built A frame dog house. Inside the dog houses you can find plush dog beds, heating units for the winter and cooling fans for the summer. Each kennel has feeding bins, auto fill water bowls, cooling pools( though mist dobbies don't like water I have a few that love to cool down in there pools in the summer,),  plenty of running room, so many toys including puzzles and training aids, solar lights , security cameras , and to top it all off each dog house and dits deck is positioned underneath a sturdy homemade pavilion for shade and shelter....PLUS all the squirrels a dog can chase.

Facility

Meyers Dobermanns is located at the residential home of breeder Ciejie Meyers in New Iberia LA. All dogs involved in the program are "home grown"(not raised in a kennel).
